Holly's rose gold sapphire and diamond engagement ring
David and Holly visited the studio looking to design an engagement ring. David had proposed to Holly with a beautiful sapphire and diamond engagement ring that belonged to her grandmother, but it was a little tired and the stones were loose. It was really important that the new design incorporated the main sapphire stone. Holly loved the warmth of rose gold, and decided on 9ct rose gold to encase her sapphire, really bringing out the depth of the colour. David really wanted to be able to see the stone as much as possible, so they decided on an end only setting. The ring has two 1.75mm princess cut pave set diamonds on either side on a step down detail, then stepping down again on a 3mm wide ring with a gentle curve profile. The ring has a lovely Art Deco vintage feel, and allows for a straight wedding ring in the future to be worn next to it. The lovely highly polished finish really brings the whole design together in David's and Holly's special design.
