White and heat-treated blue diamond engagement ring with a swirl design
This beautiful 9ct white gold engagement ring features a very sparkly 4mm (0.28ct) brilliant cut HSI diamond and a 2mm heat-treated brilliant cut blue diamond. The treatment of this blue diamond is a special process using state-of-the-art technology to produce this beautiful and permanent colour change. Natural blue diamonds like this would cost many thousands of pounds so this new technology makes this ring within reach! The treatment means that the ring must not be heated up to very high temperatures (e.g. by a jeweller during resizing of the ring) or cleaned in an ultrasonic cleaner so special care needs to be taken when resizing this ring in the future and the stone must be carefully removed and re-set during any future resizing work. the diamonds are each held in an overlaid twist and the 3mm wide band has a gentle D shaped profile, complimenting the curves of the design. The ring has been designed so that a straight wedding band could fit right up against the engagement ring in the future. To complete the look the ring has been polished to a high shine.
