Emily's Fairtrade engagement ring using her nan's diamond

Emily and Florian came to see me at our Hertfordshire studio to design an engagement ring using Emily's grandmother's diamond. Her beautiful diamond is a 0.70ct old cut. We created a design which holds the stone in a four claw setting with a gently tapered band. We have created the ring using 9ct Fairtrade yellow gold which is a lovely ethical choice of metal. Emily's unique ring has also been engraved with a vine pattern concentrating on the sides of her ring for extra detail and a contemporary twist to the classic solitaire design.
