Ouroboros inspired 0.30ct HSI diamond and palladium solitaire

The design of this unusual engagement ring is inspired by the ancient symbol for infinity - the “ouroboros” – the snake eating its own tail. Whilst this idea is hugely symbolic, it is not represented literally in this design but alluded to, with the undulated shape of the band and design of the setting. A single 4.5mm 0.30ct brilliant cut H SI diamond is in a setting which goes almost all round the stone, keeping it open on one side – rather like a snake’s open mouth. The 2mm wide band has a smooth rounded cross section, making it very easy to wear and the crisp white of the polished palladium adds to the overall effect.
