50th birthday pendant handmade with family gold
In celebration of the 50th birthday of Danielle's aunt, she and her family had the beautiful idea of commissioning a pendant inspired by the flower the family planted to commemorate Danielle's grandmother. The pendant has been handmade from 9 carat yellow gold which came from a gold ring which Danielle's grandma wore. The stone from this ring had been used to make into a piece of jewellery for Danielle's Mum, so they felt it would be nice to now use the gold in this way so that the sisters can share something that belonged to their mum. As Danielle's aunt mainly wears silver, the gold was used to add the stem detailing to the leaves and to create the bail of the pendant which hangs on a contemporary silver beaded chain.
