Whether you have decided upon a wedding ring, engagement ring or eternity ring, it’s always great to show how much you care by giving jewellery which really means something. Personal touches are a fantastic way to show how much thought you have put into choosing the perfect ring. We have put together some suggestions for personalising that perfect piece of jewellery.

Finger Print Engraved Wedding Rings

Engraving
This can be a fantastic way to add that personal touch to your jewellery and, the great thing is there are so many different ways that you can personalise a gift this way!

Engraving is great to commemorate those special dates, and is particularly popular in wedding rings which often integrate wedding dates, first dates or anniversaries. Engraving can be a wonderful way to give a ring that extra flourish of detail with a pattern that reflects their style, e.g. you could have a delicate floral pattern, bold geometric design, tribal emblem, Celtic knots or a gothic motif.

If an engraved pattern isn’t your style you could always have something sentimental or even a little joke to give them a chuckle! Quotes from books and poems that you love can be a great way to show how much you care too. Of course you could choose a secret message for your loved one by having it engraved in a foreign language!

Birth Stones
You could of course incorporate your partner’s birth stone into a design, a full list of these can be found on our birthstones page.

If you don’t think a birth stone is the way to go you could always try their favourite colours. Always remember to consider the practicalities of the stones you choose e.g. if you have a heavy-handed or very active partner try to choose stones that are more hard wearing. Remember stones such as diamonds and sapphires are a good choice for an everyday ring and are available in a variety of colours!

Heirlooms

Of course if you are looking for another way to personalise a ring you could try looking at family engagement rings or wedding rings to make a really touching piece. If you know your partner would be happy with this idea consider having a ring redesigned or even using the stones or metal from a ring that belonged to someone close to their heart into a new design.

Inspired by

If your partner loves an animal, culture or hobby why not consider having a design to reflect that other love in their life! Be imaginative, there are so many options e.g. for people who love walking have a mountain inspired design with a trilliant cut stone, surfers could have a design inspired by the sea with wave engraving or blue stones, or you could have an item inspired by a favourite animal or insect such as a dolphin, snake or butterfly… the choice is yours!
