Sadly there are still allot of restrictions in terms of legal ceremonies that can be performed across the world and it is a continuing struggle. However with recent changes in legislature such as the legalisation of same-sex marriages legalised in the states of Vermont, Connecticut, Iowa, New Hampshire and Massachusetts in the US, there is hope that things might be looking up! Here in the United Kingdom 2005 saw the introduction of civil partnerships and there were 16,100 ceremonies performed within the first year.
A lot of same-sex couple are looking for something to be popping on that ring finger for the time being to signify their commitment to becoming married once the legislature has caught up… making a commitment ring the perfect option before opting for your wedding rings at a later date.
