Francesca Glos

Francesca became a Senior Designer in our North Hertfordshire Jewellery Centre in 2019. Jewellery has been part of her life since childhood- she has quite a collection of sentimental Italian pieces!

After joining Harriet Kelsall Bespoke Jewellery as a Design Assistant in 2015, Francesca’s since become more than an accomplished designer.

In 2019, she began curating our eternity ring collection alongside Harriet, setting briefs for fellow designers before monitoring the production. A dedication to expanding design knowledge and expertise went beyond hand-sketching, so 2022 saw a move towards a CAD specialism.

Besides designing for our collection, each year she completes over 100 commissions and redesigns, with customers all over the world.

Francesca’s ambition flourished with a Distinction and Award for Excellence for her Higher National Diploma in 3D design. Determination directed her interests to designing and making jewellery after studying Art & Design and Textiles at A Levels and an Art Foundation at college. Those dreams of a specialist field, and ultimately a career, certainly came to fruition.

Upon completing studies, she soon became a design assistant for another award-winning jewellery designer. Here she learnt the core processes of jewellery design from start to finish. In particular, turning drawings into digital format, overseeing the final production, then liaising with photography and marketing. This put her in good stead for a career, where she still visualises and oversees the entire process.

Fine jewellery was as much a part of Francesca’s life as a child as it is today. Every year her father bought an item of jewellery from an Italian village to add to her collection. It’s no wonder this ignited an admiration for beautiful handmade jewellery and intricate designs.

Upon joining our team, she’s embraced the designer/workshop environment. She loves interacting with the goldsmiths, admiring her hand-drawn sketches and CADs transform into treasured bespoke jewellery. Above all, nothing is as special as a one-of-a-kind design that’s filled with meaning and a story.

Discovering a customer’s story is often the inspiring starting point behind my designs, and I love translating their narrative into a bespoke piece
