Alice Hobbs

Upon joining Harriet Kelsall Bespoke Jewellery as a Jewellery Design Assistant in 2022, Alice quickly demonstrated passion for bespoke jewellery design. In particular, nurturing and demonstrating a love for hands-on sketching.

Over the years, her flair for composition and understanding bespoke projects excels. Further illustrating this by winning a Clarity and Success Award in 2023, for one of her Jet 1 certification projects.

Initially, Alice’s degree in Costume Design and Making at Nottingham Trent University ignited her creative journey. Whilst looking into the history of period costumes, a passion for delicate and dainty detailing grew. For example, she took inspiration from features seen in floral laces and embroidery. Since then, Alice’s style has evolved, taking a particular fascination on how to mirror nature’s beauty with metal shaping and mixed cut gemstones.

On a whole, Alice transfers each intriguing influence into her bespoke designs including engagement, wedding and eternity ring commissions. Similarly, she also incorporates them into a selection of our dress jewellery collection.

Most importantly, Alice loves spending time with customers, learning their emotional connections to an idea. Furthermore, she’s proudly a part of individual stories coming to life- from sketch to goldsmith to a final piece. To Alice, the defining moment is when they finally see the perfect piece they created together.
