What is a Statement Engagement Ring Part Three
Georgia Hill
Georgia is a Jewellery Designer and Studio Lead in our Cambridge Studio and Shop. She has an Art and Design degree and an exceptional flare for bold, statement designs.
Since joining Harriet Kelsall Bespoke Jewellery in 2018, Georgia’s worked on hundreds of commissions and redesigns. Her design skills know no bounds particularly demonstrated in pieces that combine intricate and striking details.
Georgia wanted to channel her childhood intrigue of art so first completed an Art and Design diploma in Cambridge. Then completed a BA Degree in Printed Textiles and Surface Pattern Design at Leeds Arts University. Whilst there, it confirmed her passion for transforming drawings from flat design into 3D objects- perfect for a career path!
Throughout her studies, Georgia developed an artistic eye and ability to work to a brief, with different individuals’ styles in mind. In 2018 she even exhibited a collection of womenswear fashion fabrics at Premiere Vision in Paris. Not only that, but then also pitched a new collection to the design team at a popular superstore.
From an early age Georgia has been interested in Art and Design – at just 4 years old she won a Wallace and Gromit colouring in competition! This unquestionably enriched her love, along with daily drawing contests with her sister and cousins. Of course, every competition needs a judge of which their grandparents were chosen. To this day, they still proudly have one of Georgia’s drawings in their kitchen.
With her own connection to creativity, Georgia values the sentiment and stories that come with designing something one-of-a-kind. She has always loved jewellery and actively finds unusual and different pieces to those around her. In particular, she thrives on experimenting with interesting patterns and gemstone choices. Now an esteemed part of the team, she can combine all areas of design that she loves, while seeing them come to life. Nothing compares to designing a unique piece for an equally unique person.
