Tom Wilson has also been our Primrose Hill Studio and Shop Branch Manager since 2018. After joining Harriet Kelsall Bespoke Jewellery in 2012 as a Design Assistant, his ambition to create interesting, unique pieces has thrived. As a result, he’s designed commissions for people all over the world including Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Hong Kong, France, Switzerland, Croatia, Hawaii and Japan.

His continued fascination with design led to a degree in Metalwork and Jewellery Design at Sheffield Hallam University .During that time, he spent a semester at Kookmin University in Seoul, South Korea. Whilst there his skills developed, particularly with traditional gemstone setting and glasswork. As his craftmanship evolved,  ECOne Unsigned Competition chose him as a wildcard top 4 finalist for new jewellery graduates in 2011. Subsequently, in 2013, he exhibited at the Goldsmiths Hall for the Craftsmanship & Design Awards. Later he then displayed work in The Lesley Craze Gallery, Clerkenwell.

Tom enjoys building links and inspiring the future generation of creatives. Over the years, universities and schools have invited him to run projects and speak to students about professional bespoke design.

With an ever-increasing number of loyal customers, his intrigue for complex craftsmanship has fed into many design approaches. Particularly, he’s fascinated by elaborate problem solving commissions where he can experiment with innovative features to represent an individual. Whether it’s concealing sentimental elements beneath gemstones, creating interchangeable styles in one piece or representing a beloved animal. In short, Tom’s motivation to break the norm of jewellery design and construction is unparalleled.

In his spare time, he visits exhibitions and enjoys channelling his observations, especially including vibrant pops of colour with gemstones. Likewise, he loves adding modern twists on classic styles by using unusual cuts and colours for bold, eye-catching looks.
