A Guide To Oval Cut Engagement Rings
Bethanie Green
Beth is a Senior Jewellery Designer in our St Albans Studio and Shop. She has a degree in Fine Art but the many treasures in her grandmother's jewellery box is what ignited her passion for design.
Bethanie Green has been a Fairtrade Ambassador since 2019 and Branch Manager for our St Albans Studio and Shop since opening in 2023. Thanks to her involvement with the interior design, they became finalists for two separate Store Design of the Year awards. Under Beth’s guidance, the studio and shop has certainly thrived, expanding our St Albans Community involvement. It’s the only 5-star jeweller in the area!
Her creative journey took off with her 1st Class Honours Degree in Fine Art from Lancaster University. Whilst there she minored in Design and Documentary Film and embraced the opportunity to combine problem solving with experimental art. Then, in 2012, her artwork was showcased in the Mall Galleries National Students Exhibition which celebrates Outstanding Student Artists.
After graduating, Beth had a chance meeting with someone who taught and guided her through the craft of jewellery making. Instilled with confidence, Beth then set up a part time business designing and making jewellery which was a small-scale success. Eager to continue to extend and share her knowledge, Beth then joined our Harriet Kelsall Bespoke Jewellery team in 2017. Soon after, she progressed to the role of designer. Now, she’s involved in an array of interesting and magnificent bespoke commissions including designing a piece for an A-List movie.
Beth has vivid childhood memories of trying on her grandmother’s special, ornate jewellery that included pieces bought on travels with Beth’s grandfather. As a result, her personal sentiment and connection to jewellery weaves into every individual’s design. Without a doubt, she captures their story and inspiration immaculately. Above all, Beth loves being in an environment where she can interact closely with the journey and the materials. With her keen eye and fascination, she ensures the special design progresses from paper to a real one-of-a-kind piece.
