Valuation Day July 2017
Saturday 8th July 2017 10am-4pm
On Saturday 8th July 2017 we are holding a Valuation Day at our Hertfordshire Jewellery Centre.
You may have inherited jewellery and you’re intrigued to know what it is and indeed if it has any value or you may just want to know what your valuables are currently worth. Whether it’s for insurance purposes or to gain a deeper insight into the history of your family heirlooms, a professional valuation is a great way to understand more about your jewellery.
Shirley Mitchell, an independent valuer and member of the NAJ Institute of Registered Valuers, will be carrying out professional valuations between 10am-4pm.
Valuations are by appointment only so if you would like to come along on the day then please contact us and we can advise you on the times available.
Alternatively, bring your jewellery to our Halls Green studio in advance and we will advise you on prices before allocating the item/s a time slot on the valuation day. Of course your jewellery will remain secure in our possession for the duration of its stay. We will then get in touch around a week to ten days after the event to let you know that your jewellery and paperwork are available to collect.
If you’re bringing along inherited jewellery that is in need of a new lease of life then why not make the most of the day and also book a consultation with one of our expert designers to chat about the possibility of a simple alteration or re-design.

Our fees are structured on a ‘per item’ basis rather than a percentage of the overall value, as other jewellers often charge. We believe this to be a fairer and more ethical practice, which in the majority of cases, has the added benefit of knowing exactly what your valuation will cost from the outset.
All insurance valuation schedules are bound in a quality folder containing digital images of your jewellery together with a full description including stone weights and dimensions, hallmark details, gross weight and current value. A glossary of terms used in the schedule can be found at the back of your folder to enable you to fully understand the document.
