Rose Cut Gemstones

Rose Cut Gemstones

The rose cut has had a resurgence of late and is being widely used across all types of jewellery.  The rose cut method involves cutting the gemstones so that the base of the stone is wide, flat and un-faceted while the top of the stone is domed and covered with triangular facets. The cut, which literally resembles an opening rose-bud, lends itself to organic and nature inspired designs in particular due to its natural feel. The way the facets meet at a point in the centre of the stone also makes the rose cut a lovely choice for a geometric inspired design.

We have designed and made a variety of bespoke engagement rings that feature rose cut diamonds or sapphires.

This engagement ring is crafted from Fairtrade 18 carat rose gold and holds a stunning rose cut green sapphire at its centre. The colour combination creates a rich design while the cut of the gemstone and shaping of the metal gives the engagement ring a sense of organic movement

Here is another beautiful example of a bespoke engagement ring featuring a grey rose cut diamond This modern design showcases how to add a contemporary spin to a classic cluster engagement ring, by swapping a traditionally old cut or brilliant cut diamond for a rose cut

We also have stunning rose cut diamond earrings in our designer collection, which are all available to buy on our website. Whether you prefer, black, white or grey diamonds, there is a beautiful selection to choose from.
