Sterling Silver Dress Ring with 47.05ct Blue-Grey "Matrix" Sapphire

This wonderfully dramatic statement ring holds a 47.05ct sapphire ‘matrix’ gemstone. A ‘matrix’ gemstone means that the sapphire crystals are still included with its base rock that they occur in naturally. It is more brittle than pure sapphire because of the striations and natural flaw lines on the surface; however the striated nature of this unusual form creates a lot of natural interest and texture within across the ring – ranging from blues to grey as it catches the light. The stone has been cleanly set in sterling silver and the ring band is about 4mm wide. The front of the ring measures about 28 x 23mm across.

Size O (approx US size 7 1/4). This ring can be resized within approx 2-3 sizes or please enquire if a further resize is required.
