Andrew's surprise engagement ring for Ellen made in Fairtrade gold
Andrew wasn't entirely sure what Ellen would think about an engagement ring given that she didn't wear much jewellery, but felt that if he could make it as ethical as possible it would make her happier wearing it. Together we designed this unique, handmade ring in Fairtrade and Fairmined 9ct white gold, incorporating a 4.11mm (0.3ct) fairly traded lilac spinel into the design. Andrew felt that the subtle colours of the spinel would be perfect for Ellen as it is interesting rather than showy, and this simple, elegant design is classic without being fussy. The 3mm wide band tapers towards the front, drawing the eye towards the pretty stone.
