Bespoke 18ct yellow gold twist eternity ring using customers own rubies and diamonds

Sandra and Sandy wanted a dress ring to mark Sandras upcoming special birthday. Sandra loved the idea of incorporating stones from existing jewellery that had meaning to her but that she no longer wore. Both liked the idea of an asymmetrical twist style ring which would look very fluid and incorporate as many stones as possible without looking cluttered. The design we came up with was a double ended scroll twist shank, measuring 4mm wide at the back and tapering at the front. Sandra had a 4.5mm ruby set into a pendant which we used as the main stone in the new ring, setting it in a slightly raised rub over setting which is held by one of the scrolled ends of the shank. The other scrolled end became the setting for an old cut 2.7mm diamond so the stone sits flush with the level of the band for a different dimension. A 2.4mm diamond has then been invisibly set into one shoulder of the shank, while four of Sandras 1.5mm brilliant cut rubies have been channel set in a line in the opposite shoulder of the shank to balance the colour and overall design.
