Dramatic rounded 14.09cts ruby matrix ring
The rounded form and slim setting on this dramatic ring are inspired by medieval jewellery - looking at rings found in archeological digs. The band of this beautiful ring is about 4mm wide. Ruby matrix is ruby crystals with the rock in which they occur and so it has a more brittle structure than pure ruby and has beautiful natural markings on the surface. Although it is not as strong as pure ruby, in Harriet's experience it seems to be fairly strong.
