Bespoke 18ct rose gold engagement ring with a red spinel and diamonds
Rachael commissioned this warm toned engagement ring after Alice drew her a series of sketches. She wanted a definite red colour stone and chose this sumptuous 7.3x5.4mm (1.42ct) deep red oval spinel as the centre-piece. The all around setting emphasises the shape of the stone and gives the ring a practical, modern appearence. In the shoulders that twist around the spinel, there are ten channel set brilliant cut H SI diamonds (four 1mm, four 1.2mm and two 1.5mm) which give a lovely contrasting, bright white sparkle to this beautiful design. The channels the diamonds are set into have open, pointed tips that taper with the shape of the band, giving the ring an open, light feeling remeniscent of a split design. The 18ct rose gold band has a flat profile with a gentle curve on the outside, measures 3mm in width and deepens at the front so the stone does not stand too high off the finger.
