18ct white gold Art Deco commissioned engagement ring

David wanted to surprise his partner Jo with some designs for a commissioned engagement ring. Jo had a great love for Art Deco design and always wanted a ring that was different to the classic solitaire and was inspired by this. We wanted to use a number of diamonds in the piece and grain set them as this was a very distinctive technique used to create elegant and sparkly designs in the Art Deco era. This 18ct white gold engagement ring design was choosen by Jo from the sketches and it was inspired by the beautiful sun beam fan design that was regularly found on the facades of cinemas and shapes used in glass perfume bottles for example. The setting that holds the 6 brilliant cut HSI diamonds sits on top of the tapering band so that a wedding ring can sit next to it perfectly.
