Since Kate Middleton showed up in front of the world's media back in 2010 with a huge blue sapphire and diamond engagement ring, there has been a big comeback on the market for blue stones in bridal jewellery. Moreover, it's said that blue sapphire and blue topaz in particular have a calming effect on the wearer (perfect for anyone planning a wedding!); and with the colour representing sincerity and peace, blue gemstones are the perfect choice as part of an engagement or eternity ring.
With an increase in demand for the loveliest shades of blue created by Mother Nature herself, we have crafted three stunning one-off ready to wear pieces that showcase some our favourite gems; Sapphires, Diamonds, Topazes and Aquamarines. Our designers love feedback so please let us know what you think...
First up is this unique handmade geometric style palladium engagement ring with an emerald cut 1.5ct cornflower blue sapphire and two princess cut HSi diamonds, this is a real stand-out piece and would suit those who want their engagement ring to be the focus of their jewellery collection.
Next in our collection is this one-off 9ct yellow gold eternity ring (traditionally given to symbolise everlasting love); this piece has eight 2mm blue sapphires graduating in colour from vivid dark blue to a shimmering light blue with the centre piece being a sparkly HSi diamond. All stones are channel set with a courting profile and a highly polished finish to really set this distinctive ring off.
And finally in our new blue gemstone ring collection, is this charming 9ct white gold eternity ring which is pave set with two 2.5mm round London blue topazes, two 2.5mm round sky blue topazes, two 2.5mm round aquamarines and in the centre one 2.5mm round brilliant cut ISi diamond. A real one-off showstopper!
All of our pieces have been lovingly hand crafted at our Halls Green Jewellery Centre. Ready-to-wear pieces like these can usually be resized and altered to suit.
