I've always loved jewellery that is a little bit different to the classic designs by perhaps using coloured stones or flowing shapes which are slightly unusual to the rings you tend to see in many high street shops. Although a classic trilogy design is something that always catches my eye. Rebecca recently designed this trilogy engagement ring for our ready to wear collection which has quickly become one of my favourite rings. The subtle twist of the band flowing around each 2.5mm brilliant cut diamond adds a modern element to the design. The two diamonds either side add to the sparkle perfectly of the central 0.36ct G SI diamond.
The six claw setting holding the central diamond adds to the classic inspiration of the ring. With both of the smaller diamonds held by a four claw setting combined with the soft d-shaped profile of the tapering band create a delicate design.
The fantastic thing about this ring is it has been designed to be able to sit next to a flat wedding ring which is something a lot of people want to go for, Perhaps if they are going to be wearing the wedding ring on its own so aren't to keen on having a shaped band. There are lots of different ways our designers can work around it and design something to suit everyone.
Rebecca is brilliant at designing a new twist for each of her customers for example she recently designed a diamond engagement ring with a twist on top of the band so the customer could wear a flat band against the ring, but still capture the twist inspirations she had wanted.
